Studio Zak collaborated with Headley & Bennett, one of the most recognized culinary lifestyle brands in the United States, to create a collection of custom embroidered illustrations for a special-edition apron developed with chef, content creator, and actress Ana Sofia Fehn.

With an audience of more than one million followers, Ana Sofia has built a community around food, travel, culture, and the rituals that surround cooking. The project aimed to capture that universe through a series of illustrations that would feel personal, recognizable, and uniquely hers.

The storytelling takes inspiration from the objects, ingredients, and moments that frequently appear throughout her content. Pasta, fish, kitchen utensils, musical notes, and the iconic moka pot become visual elements that are part of her world. References to her Costa Rican heritage were also woven into the collection, including the embroidered sloth featured on the apron pocket, adding a personal connection to the final piece.

Every illustration was hand-drawn at Studio Zak before being translated into embroidery. The process required simplifying and refining individual elements while preserving the character, movement, and imperfections that give hand-drawn design its charm. Maintaining that human touch throughout the transition from illustration to embroidery was an important part of the project.

The result is a collection that combines illustration and storytelling through a functional object designed to be used every day, bringing Ana Sofia’s world into a piece intended to be worn, used, and enjoyed in the kitchen.
