Petras is a sustainable family-run business from rural Brazil producing eucalyptus charcoal and other eucalyptus-based products. After 25 years, they came to us for a brand refresh. We updated their logo—maintaining its recognizable color scheme and distinctive “E”—and reimagined their mascot, originally from local comics, into a clean-lined character with modern appeal. For their barbecue charcoal line, we expanded this character playfully across three different pack sizes, each showing him grilling in gravity-defying poses. Departing from the typical kraft paper competitors, we chose sleek black packaging with vivid orange stripes—staying true to Petras’ heritage while making a bold statement in-store. Functional and fun, the new design helps keep things clean even once opened, without sacrificing brand recognition.
